This blog was initiated to record our cruising experiences on S/V Whistler, a PDQ Antares 44i catamaran. From 2015 to 2019, we split our time between S/V Whistler in the South Pacific and our home in Whistler, Canada. Over the years, we sailed to Fiji, Tonga and Wallis and New Zealand.
Due to Covid-19, New Zealand shut their borders so we were unable to return to our boat for 2 1/2 years. We remained in Whistler. In May 2022, we flew to New Zealand and go the boat ready to sail offshore again. The decision was made to sell our boat and a fellow from Vancouver flew down and purchased her.
While boatless, we added stories about our travels and other events.
In spring of 2023, we bought another boat, a Catalina 42 MKII. This spring we are embarking on another voyage up the Inside Passage of British Columbia, and who knows, maybe to Alaska.
